Conditions for obtaining service

 

  1. The concerned person must be present or whoever is officially authorized.
  2. The value of commodities shall not be more than 2000 JODs.
  3. The commodities must be non-commercial.

Procedures

  1. The applicant shall submit the application of to allow entry of non-commercial commodities to the Director or whoever is officially delegated.
  2. The Director or whoever is officially delegated shall forward the transaction to the representative of the unit as per the type of commodities. If approvals are received from other parties, the Director approves to go ahead with further procedures.
  3. The applicant prepares and submits a customs declaration to the Department of Competition for lane categorization.

If the lane was:

    1. Green: the declaration is electronically cleared and further procedures are pursued.
    2. Yellow: visit the specialized unit as per the item tariff for documentary review, then for either the green or the red lane.
    3. Red: the transaction is then sent to the inspector for commodities physical inspection and preparation of a report stating this.
  1. The transaction is then forwarded to the specialized unit if the conditions are met and approvals are electronically completed.
  2. Moves to the Green Lane.
  3. Visit the Cashier to pay the prescribed fees.
  4. Visit Permits Department to issue an Exit Permit.
  5. Approach the exit gate waiting for commodities to be cleared from the Center.

Required Documents

 

  • A receipt for boarders hold.
  • An authorization letter by the concerned person delegating the clearance company to pursue procedures.

Persons benefiting from the service

  • Arrivals/This type of data appliesto non-commercial commodities coming with arrivals to Jordan, the value of which does not exceed 2000 JODs.
  • For those coming through border crossings –this does not require a tax number.
